Our AKC Champion Yorkshire Terrier Dams
Health-Tested • Show-Proven • Bred to the Standard
At Essence of Grace Yorkies, our Yorkshire Terrier dams are thoughtfully selected for correct structure, balanced movement, coat quality, temperament, and pedigree. Each female in our program represents generations of purposeful breeding, combining respected American and European champion bloodlines.
All of our breeding females are Embark DNA tested and receive OFA eye and patella evaluations through board-certified specialists. We breed only traditional blue & gold and blue & tan Yorkshire Terriers, preserving correct breed type, sound structure, and confident, stable temperaments.
Essence of Grace Lucy In the Sky With Diamonds (Lucy – Future Dam)
Lucy is one of the most exciting young females in our program and represents the next generation of Essence of Grace Yorkies. She is the half-sister to our AKC Champion Abbey and shares the balance, elegance, and breed type we value deeply.
Lucy is currently just under five pounds and has earned 12 AKC points, including a major win. She now needs only three additional points, including points above the break, to complete her AKC Championship.
Highlights:
Show Career: Actively showing; multiple wins including a major
Weight: Approximately 5 lbs
Health Testing:
Embark DNA tested
Carrier of one copy of PRA-prcd (not affected; will only be bred to clear males)
OFA eyes and patellas to be completed following championship
Pedigree: Sired by an AKC Champion imported from Ukraine with excellent topline and structure
Breeding Plans: Expected to join our breeding program mid-2026 after completing her title
Lucy’s future is incredibly promising, and once she completes her championship, she will play an important role in carrying our program forward.
AKC CH Denstail Dita Fon Diz – “Sasha”
Proven AKC Champion Dam with Exceptional Litters
Sasha is a stunning AKC Champion imported from Russia and holds a very special place in our hearts as our first finished champion. She completed her AKC Championship quickly and beautifully, with most of her points owner-handled and two major wins finished with a professional handler.
Beyond the ring, Sasha has proven herself in the whelping box, consistently producing lovely, correct puppies with exceptional temperaments. She averages approximately five puppies per litter, which is a true gift in the Yorkshire Terrier breed.
Highlights:
Titles: AKC Champion
Coat: Rich steel blue and tan
Health Testing:
Embark DNA tested clear
OFA Eyes certified
Pedigree: European Champions and Grand Champions throughout
Proven Producer: Puppies known for structure, temperament, and show potential
Retirement Outlook
Sasha is currently expecting a litter due the first week of February 2026, with puppies anticipated to go home in April 2026.
She is expected to retire from breeding in early 2026 or early 2027, depending on her recovery and veterinary guidance following her current and potentially final litter.
We are hopeful to retain one or two female offspring to carry on Sasha’s legacy within our program before she completes her breeding career.
AKC CH Essence Of Grace Abbey Blazin’ Down The Road (Abbey)
Abbey is our first bred-by AKC Champion, making her a defining milestone for Essence of Grace Yorkies. She is the daughter of our foundation dam Ellie and an AKC Champion sire from an all-American lineage stacked with U.S. champions.
Abbey completed her championship at 2.5 years old, following an eight-month campaign with her professional handler. Her journey reflects her classic terrier attitude — confident, opinionated, and full of presence.
Highlights:
Weight: 6.5 lbs
Coat: Rich gold and blue, holding strong color into maturity
Health Testing:
Embark DNA tested clear
OFA Eyes & Patellas certified
Producer: Standard-size puppies with balanced structure, movement, and affectionate temperaments
Abbey’s Final Litter Plan
Abbey will have one final planned litter before retiring from our breeding program.
Her February 2026 heat will be intentionally skipped
She is expected to cycle again around August 2026, which is planned to be her final litter
Abbey’s previous litters have been small, and we have not yet retained a female from her offspring. We are hopeful that her final litter will bring us one — possibly two — puppies to carry on her legacy once she retires.
Retirement
Abbey’s retirement placement has been pre-reserved. She will remain part of our program through her final planned litter.
